Your GPA Chapter Board Needs You!

Updated: Nov 20, 2019

Have you considered serving as a leader in the St. Louis GPA chapter? The chapter board is critical to the success of the St. Louis Chapter. Committing an average of just two hours of your time each month will not only build your own leadership skills, but also help to ensure that our chapter serves as a leader in the St. Louis region by providing high-quality and valuable professional development opportunities for grant professionals.

Chapter board members:

  • Attend monthly board meetings (meetings at held one hour immediately prior to monthly chapter meetings);

  • Serve on one (or more) of the board committees that focus on programs, membership, marketing, etc.;

  • Participate in brainstorming and planning for professional development offerings that meet the needs of grant professionals at every stage of their career; and

  • Act as ambassadors for the chapter by welcoming and engaging with other chapter members and grant professionals, both at GPA events and elsewhere.

To serve as a board member, you must be a member of GPA and the GPA-St. Louis Regional Chapter in good standing. No previous board experience is necessary, and we welcome any level of experience as a grant professional – from novice to mid-career to seasoned professional.
